WHO WE ARE
The East African Civil Society Organizations Forum (EACSOF) is the premier platform organization that brings together civil society organizations in the East Africa region. Our overall goal is to have an East African Community (EAC) integration process that is inclusive of the voices of East African citizens and responsive to the needs and demands of the people. This is in line with the EAC Treaty which stipulates that regional integration and development in the community shall be people centred and participatory Over the past few months, EACSOF has conducted extensive consultations across the region to collect member’s views and reflections on the strategic direction of the organization for the next five years (2023-2027). The outcomes have been consolidated into a comprehensive five-year strategy which will guide EACSOF in achieving its goals. This plan builds on the earlier successes that EACSOF has been able to enjoy, draws lessons from the implementation of the previous plans, and is shaped by the insights and inputs of various stakeholders across the region who graciously made time to contribute to the shaping of this strategic plan.
